the Astoneves 16 amp charging cable came as described, with one good surprise, a nice carry bag is included. the 6-20 to 5-15 adapter chord was also included. The good: everything works as stated, small compact design is a plus. The bad: nowhere on the one page manual does it tell you how to switch from 10 to 16 amp. (before plugging into the car, lightly press the "S" next to the small screen.) For those like me that want to know the total kwh used when the charge is completely done is a bit tricky. at charge completion, the screen says "full". The charging information screen will not return. On my '17 Bolt I basically do a manual restart by unlocking the driver's door, then pressing the thumb switch on the charge handle for a couple of seconds, and then letting go. Do not unplug the handle, a restart begins, and you now have access to the info on the status screen again with no loss of charging session information. When you have the desired info, either continue charging, or terminate the session as usual. Actually a bit of a pain, but i want the info at the end of my charging sessions, or I would have bought a cheaper unit with no screen. This is a great base level charger. You can adjust for a 15 or 20 Amp circuit to take full advantage of the wiring in your house. This is a level 1 charger so not super quick but great to top off without expensive electrical work in your house.Works great but beware of exposure to rain. This product worked great for the first week. Had a couple days of rain and it slowly started to fail until it quit working. I contacted customer service and they replaced the unit. Excellent customer service. It is stated to be water proof but also says to avoid water… sucks that I’m afraid to have this unit outside without securing a plastic bag around it, even though it’s titled as an indoor/outdoor portable charger.Edit: after receiving the charger I have made it a point to hang it to hopefully avoid another episode with rain. Well, that didn’t work either. This item is just not meant for outdoors, is not meant to be portable and is not waterproof in any sense of the word. I requested a refund and will re evaluate my review once I receive it.Edit2: astoneves responded asking if I had submerged the chargers in water intentionally. Then said they couldn’t receive products due to Covid. A customer stated he sent his back for a refund just a couple weeks ago. Waiting to hear back after I turned down their 50% refund offer.Last edit: product started working again but the lcd screen doesn’t work. Astoneves messaged me and agreed to give me a full refund and I could keep the product. Was very apologetic for suggesting that I had submerged the product. Great customer care but I still cannot recommend this product. They said that other customers weren’t experiencing water damage but also told me that other users who had this issue would take apart the charger and let it dry so that struck me as kind of suspicious.Bought this as a portable charger to keep in the car and use at work or other places. It works perfect with my hybrid BMW i8. Charges quickly at level 2 with no issues. Have owned it about 3 weeks now and I’m very happy with my purchase!Haven't had issue had it for 3 monthsI liked the fact that this EV charger can use 120 volts, or 240 volts to charge the hybrid battery in my Chrysler Pacifica. And that it would provide a full charge in 5 hours using 240 volts supply. But the charger stopped working after I used it about 5 times. Now I have get it replaced under warranty. What a hassle.I will revise my review once I deal with the seller.Revised review: 6/2/2022Received the replacement charger from Amazon. The charger worked well on 120 volts. But it to failed after 2 uses on 240 volts. Now it does not work on 120 or 240 volts. Sending it back for a refund.I don't recommend this charger. When you plug in the charger wait a few minutes. You will see signal to plug in the charger. If you push in the S it will change to 16 Amp…It's a gerat little charger for what it is, but I was looking for a 16 amp charger, which puts out 3,600 watts, this charger maxed out at 10.6 amps, which is only 2,550 watts. It takes about six hours to charge vice four hours which is what it would take with a 16amp charger. Other than that, packaging and design are great!I bought this to use at my cottage and have been using it for a couple of weeks for my 2018 Leaf. I have a converter so I can plug it into a dryer receptacle (NEMA 14-30R) . I set it for 16 amps and it works fine (since the circuit is rated at 30 amps). Its not as fast as my OEM Nissan charger but that was expected since the Nissan charger is 6KW and this one is 3.6KW. Still is charges faster than I expected. I like the display since it provides a status on the temp, amps changing rate and watts used. The 10amp option is really appropriate to charge a level 1 ESVE like the Harley Livewire.easy to install to the garage wallL'écran est très petit, mais ça n'affecte en rien les performances. Très bon rapport qualité/prix.Plugged it in to either 120 or 240v and it just works. Nice price.
