THE FLASHLIGHT: It has 2 modes - Regular and Super Bright. Regular is great for navigating a power outage in your house without blinding anyone. Super Bright is great if you need to see something across the road in the field.THE LANTERN: It has 3 modes - White, Red and Red Flashing. White is good for illuminating an entire room in a power outage or a picnic table while camping. Red will preserve your night vision while camping or star gazing. Red flashing will get attention in an emergency.THE BATTERY: At 4000 mAh this has a very nice capacity not only for powering its own lights, but the included USB2 port can charge devices like phones or USB-rechargeable flashlights and headlamps. This is great while camping or extended power outages. (If you get the feeling I lose power a lot, you're right.)OTHER FEATURES include a collapsable handle for easier storage, a metal loop on the end for easy hanging, an included S-hook with latches and USB cable. The button is "rubberized" and has a nice feel, it also glows when charging and changes color to let you knew when it is fully charged.This unit is as good as units costing nearly double. The only room for improvement that I see is that to get to the mode you want, you have to cycle through the other modes first. So if you want to preserve your night vision with red lantern mode, you have to first go through several modes with bright white lights which will ruin your night vision for several minutes.
