01/03/18 Update - Going back to 4 starts Based on good customer service I am going back to four stars. After a rocky start Alpatronix has exceeded my expectations when it comes to customer service. Defects happen. So far they have stood behind the product with no questions asked. What more can you ask for.12/13/17 Update - Giving it one more tryI was contacted by Alpatronix today and was given what sounded like a sincere apology. They have agreed to cross ship a new case to me so i am giving it one more try. going back to three stars and will see how it works out with the new one.12/12/17 Update: lowered to 1 star reviewWell, now I know this case was a total mistake. I contacted seller for a replacement. They want me to send it back on my dime, jump through some hoops, and they will repair or replace at their whim and I would have a case in two or three weeks . I bought this case in advance of my Iphone x delivery so I would not have to take any chances without protection. I'm sending it back alright ... for refund. I cant recommend that you buy this case ...12/6/17 Update: - lowered to 3 stars review I guess I spoke too soon, just a few days ago I wrote this glowing review, but today one of those rubber buttons totally separated from the case and fell on the floor. I’m now have to squeeze my fat fingers through that narrow opening to press the home button on my new iPhone X.————————————————————-My original 5 star review -I have used this QI battery case for a few weeks now. I love it. I have read some reviews that have minor complaints, but NONE that have found to be show stoppers.1) Weight - The case is not heavy, THE IPHONE X IS. together they feel like a brick. It feels like I got my moneys worth :-)2) Charging function (cable) - The time to charge is just what apple promised, more than 50% in 30 minutes. The case takes longer. DUH3) Charging function (QI) - All QI charging is slower than cable. But it charges just fine wirelessly. See my post of the IDUDU car QI charger.4) Rubber button pushers - Yes, I would prefer real buttons, but those have issues too, I have found no issues with the way these work.5) Over all size - Because the speaker ports are redirected to the front the case is 3/8 of an inch longer than it could be. I like front firing speakers.6) No lightning plug - I have in the past used many mophie cases with mini USB ports. No big deal. I use the magnetic style cables and the tip of the cable remains firmly in the case so as to not wear out the port.7) Included screen protector - I would agree with other reviewers that the screen protector does not fit as well as it could. I have never found the need to use one anyway. If you are buying this case just for the screen protector you should probable pass.8) Case top cap - some have found that the top of the case is difficult to remove. I like the fact that it does not come off easily. I have found that a thumb nail with a lifting action eases the release of the removal of the top..The charging case fits well in my front pocket while providing the added battery life and drop protection I am looking for. The price is half of what mophie would charge (mophie does not currently offer a case for the iphone x). It meets my needs.
